In this unit students will start to identify between living and non-living things around them.
Then, we will study animals in greater depth.

Our main objects are:
- Diferentiate between living and non living things and recognise the basic chaarteristics of living things.
- Recognise plants and animals as living things.
- Classify animals according to their physical charasteristics, how they move and where they live.
- Classify animals based on how they are born (viviparous ans oviparous) and their diet (carnivore, herbivore or omnivore).
- Understand the differences between domestic and wild animals.

A continuación os dejamos algunos videos que os pueden servir de introducción al tema. Poco a poco iremos ampliando en clase las características propias de cada uno de los grupos, así como la terminología empleada.

ras terminar la unidad y haber aprendido muchas cosas sobre los ANIMALES (Animals), hemos hecho un póster enorme entre todos los grupos de Segundo de Primaria. 

En él hemos aprendido a clasificar entre VERTEBRADOS (Vertebrates) e INVERTEBRADOS (Invertebrates)

Y sobre sus características

Como ya sabéis, los animales vertebrados los podemos clasificar en 5 grupos: MAMÍFEROS (Mammals), AVES (Birds), REPTILES (Reptiles), ANFIBIOS (Amphibians) y PECES (Fish) Además también hemos investigado y aprendido sobre las características principales de cada uno de ellos.

 

 

 

   

Dentro de los animales invertebrados hemos aprendido principalmente sobre el grupo de los INSECTOS (Insect) y sus características más importantes.

Aunque también sabemos que existen otros tipos de animales invertebrados (other invertebrates) que no tienen las características propias de los insectos y pertenecen a otros grupos que estudiaremos en próximos cursos. Algunos de estos animales invertebrados que no pertenecen al grupo de los insectos son: araña (spider), caracol (snail), calamar (squid), gusano (worm), ...

¡Esperamos que os sirva para recordar todas las cosas interesantes que hemos aprendido en esta unidad!
