Summer Picture Dictation (1st Grade Arts & Crafts) ☀️🏖️
Objective: Listen and draw the summer picture following the teacher's instructions in English.
Materials:
- Blank sheet of paper
- Pencil
- Crayons or colored pencils
Teacher's Dictation
Tell students to listen carefully and draw each element.
- Draw a big yellow sun in the top right corner.
- Draw two small clouds in the sky.
- Draw a blue sea at the bottom of the page.
- Draw a yellow beach between the sea and the sky.
- Draw a red beach umbrella on the sand.
- Draw a green towel under the umbrella.
- Draw a beach ball next to the towel.
- Draw a boy wearing blue shorts.
- Draw a girl wearing a pink hat.
- Draw three seagulls in the sky.
Colouring Instructions
When they finish drawing:
- Colour the sun yellow.
- Colour the sea blue.
- Colour the sand yellow.
- Colour the umbrella red.
- Colour the towel green.
- Colour the beach ball with three colours.
Speaking Extension (Optional)
Ask students:
- What is it? → It's a sun.
- What colour is it? → It's yellow.
- How many seagulls are there? → Three.
- Is it summer? → Yes, it is!
Challenge ⭐
Draw one extra summer object and say its name in English (e.g., ice cream, sunglasses, boat, palm tree, flip-flops).
