Materials
- White paper or cardstock
- Soft wax crayons
- Pencil and eraser
- Wet wipes or paper towels
Objectives
- Use soft wax crayons creatively.
- Mix and explore colours.
- Practice simple English vocabulary.
- Develop fine motor skills.

Activity Instructions
1. Warm-up (5 minutes)
Look at the monster pictures.
Answer the teacher’s questions:
- “How many eyes?”
- “What colour is it?”
- “Is it big or small?”
Repeat the vocabulary together.
2. Teacher Demonstration (5 minutes)
Listen and watch carefully.
The teacher shows:
- how to use soft wax crayons
- how to colour softly and strongly
- how to mix colours
- how to make patterns and lines
3. Main Activity – “Create Your Crazy Monster!” (25 minutes)
Step 1 – Draw
Draw:
- a big head
- eyes
- a mouth
- arms and legs
Your monster can be funny, happy, silly, or scary!
Step 2 – Colour
Use your soft wax crayons.
Colour your monster using:
- bright colours
- stripes
- spots
- funny hair
- extra eyes
- crazy shapes
Try mixing colours!
Step 3 – Add Details
Add more details to your monster.
You can draw:
- wings
- horns
- long teeth
- big feet
- funny ears
Be creative!
4. Gallery Walk (5 minutes)
Show your monster to the class.
Say:
- “This is my monster.”
- “It is blue.”
- “It has three eyes.”
- “It is happy.”
Listen to your classmates.
Classroom Rules
